Fred James As the principal of Beaches Law, Fred James was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2002. After becoming admitted, Fred also completed postgraduate legal studies at the College of Law. Fred has broad ranging knowledge of property and commercial law and has 30 years of in-depth experience in state legislation regarding Residential Tenancies, Strata Title, Retirement Villages and all other Fair Trading related Laws. Fred James is also a fully qualified mediator in dispute resolution after having obtained qualifications from LEADR.

How We Charge

We provide flexible pricing arrangements, in order to give peace of mind to our clients and to ensure that costs are never a surprise. You can use one or a combination of the below methods:

Fixed Fee (our preference): If you have a very specific piece of work such as a conveyance or require us to review legal documentation, we can quote a fixed fee upfront.

Retainer: A fee is paid in order to secure our services for use when required over an agreed timeframe.

Hourly: Only if your matter is litigation based.

Conveyancing – Residential Property

RESIDENTIAL/REAL ESTATE/COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL & RETAIL CONVEYANCING

Your residential, commercial, industrial and/or retail conveyance can be carried out by telephone and email to maximise your valuable time, all at a fixed fee. The actual location of the property will not affect our ability to help you.

If you are selling, our conveyancing law service covers the following:

  • Prepare the sale contract by gathering all relevant information and documents
  • Send the contract to you and your Real Estate Agent for review
  • Negotiate contract terms with the buyer
  • Liaise with your lender regarding the discharge of your mortgage & attend settlement

If you are buying, we will:

  • Review and advise on the contract of sale & conduct negotiations on the contract terms with the seller
  • Exchange the contract with the seller
  • Make appropriate enquiries prior to settlement and attend settlement
 

LEASING – COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL & RETAIL PROPERTY

It is essential you seek advice prior to entering into a lease or premises licence as there can be many implications if they are not handled correctly. Roshni and Fred can assist with:

  • Drafting and providing advice on commercial, retail leases or premises licenses
